1. Stickers can be printed with offset printing or digital printing, both of which, of course, involves four color printing that showers your prints with an array of rich, lustrous colors.
2. Sticker can be customized. So you can shape your own stickers, create raised images on it or emboss designs, dictate your own size and the like.
3. Stickers can be printed on materials such as latex, plastic, foil and a thermal material that changes the colors of your stickers when exposed to light. However, the latter easily loses the colors and images it holds and the design fade away.
4. One of the most common stock for sticker printing is the paper label stock. This paper label comes as uncoated paper label stock or matte label and UV coated paper label stock or high gloss.
5. A UV coated paper label stock is called high-gloss because your stickers come out with a smooth and ultra-shiny finish that brings out more of the colors of your stickers.
6. UV coated stickers too are weather resistant. This means that water can glide off easily and that it won’t be easily harmed by moisture. It is also more resilient to fading so your colorful prints stay bright and sharp.
7. A permanent sticker means that its adhesive will hold fast and once placed on a smooth surface, it is not to be removed. The sticker stays in place and stays put. It can be removed by other means, but solvents are effectively used to remove it. Once this is done, however, the sticker might end up being destroyed as well.
8. Sticker adhesives can also be removable, semi-permanent and freeze-permanent as well. If you’re wondering what the latter is all about, the freeze-permanent adhesive attaches itself more to the surface when temperature drops and releases hold of the surface when the temperature is hot.
